I praise you Lord

You are My God

From the rising of the sun

To the setting of the Same

You are My God . . .

I always try my best to “think in between the lines” of songs when I sing them so that I can get the message embedded in them. This particular song was explained by a minister and i’d love to share what I┬áderived from his analysis.

Change is the only constant thing right? The sun rises and sets and so does the day and the night; the weather also flips. It’s spring this month and after some months it’s summer or winter. When the sun rises it brighten up everywhere but when it sets it produces darkness. Our challenges are also like that, sometimes we have enough to eat and even share while other times it’s like we never know what food is like . . . These challenges we face are sometimes overwhelming that they can make us want to throw in the towel. But remember the scriptures says “weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning” isn’t that true? We cry and before you know it the tears dry up lke that . . . The writer of the song was like David in the Bible was trying to say that in times when the sun is shining so bright that it produces light and when it sets bringing darkness, he will still praise God. It takes someone with so much faith to be able to make such confession. Indeed the sun can also be scorching at times but we must never forget that it will still set (giving one rest for the day). It might also bring fright because of it’s darkness but the sun will still rise!

No matter the situation you’re going through now do not forget that it will still phase out. . . Life is in stages, men are in stages. The Israelites instead of remembering how God severally delivered them resulted into mumuring and grumbling. They got their reward which was not so cool . . . Let’s always remember that God is faithful to bring to past all His promises. Times when you feel like giing up know that your breaktrough is just right at the corner . . . He has done it before and He can do it again. Seasons come and go . . . All things are made beautiful in His time, Wait! Encourage yourself in The Lord. Praise Him when it is good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, calm or stormy, interesting or uninteresting, and wavy or straight. Praise no matter the condition.

Praise him when it is dark and when it is bright! He is Lord forever.

Be encouraged!

God be with you.
