Every Day Is Christmas ~

That’s right . . . 25 December is official but unofficially, Christmas “should be” everyday.
Mery Christmas!

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Every day is Christmas . . .
if the Gift ~ you receive
every day is a present
if in the Gift ~ you believe.

Every day you are offered,
the true Gift from above
every day you can decide
to accept God’s gift of love.

Every day brings new life,
if the Gift ~ is in yours
every day is a miracle
if the Gift ~ you’d explore.

Every day there is peace,
if you would ask ~ the Gift in
for the Gift of eternal life . . .
will come and live within.

Every day is Christmas  . . .
if in Jesus ~ you believe
every day is a present
if God’s Gift ~ you’d receive!

but the gift of God is eternal life

A Vessel for Christmas

It’s amazing how we remember our old [new] but lovely pots and utensils during festive periods.
Today while we were preparing for Christmas, my mum decided to bring some lovely bowls so that we will dish food in them. I was immediately reminded of this passage 2Timothy 2: 20 and I said wow . . . these are for special occasions right?

It’s the same with the ass that was used during Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The ass had been tied for a long time until its appointed time. It was still useful when it was needed.

God found Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as vessels unto honour.
Jesus who knew no sin was seen and used as a vessel for salvation and that’s why we celebrate Christmas today. He came to reunite us back to our Friend and Maker; He redesigned us to be fit for a relationship with God. He remained a beautiful useful vessel here on earth until his death.
He left giving a mandate– a vessel He can use for the reconciliation of others.
What kind of vessel are you? Dishonour or honour?
Like those bowls it’s good for us to be used on special occasions, however, our special occasion is everyday. . .

Why do you celebrate Christmas? Are you still a vessel for Christmas (Christ)?
Think on this . . . don’t just wine and dine
Let Jesus break, remould, and make your vessel new and fit for His use if necessary.

. . . Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2016 in advance. . .

If Not for Jesus ~

It could have been nobody else but My Rock . . .

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

If not for the Rock,
onto which I can cling
I would be destroyed
by the storms life brings.

If not for the Foundation,
onto which to plant my feet
I would be shaken . . .
my trust would deplete.

If not for the Cornerstone,
onto which I can lean
I would not have the faith
in the things unseen.

If not for the Fountain,
onto which to draw my hope
I would not have the strength
in my troubles to cope.

If not for the arms of Jesus,
into which I can fall
I would have nothing . . .
no, nothing at all!

Psalm 62:2

“He only is my rock
and my salvation;
he is my defence;
I shall not be greatly moved.”

There isn’t any other gift,
you will ever get
with the promise to erase
away all your debt.

for it is given to you  . . .
with a lifetime warranty.

This year God has for you,
a very special delivery . . .

as he is in the light, we have

CHRISTmas Isn’t About ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

What CHRISTmas Isn't ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Christmas isn’t about,
red cups without Christmas trees
nor is it concerning . . .
a saying printed on some tees.

It isn’t about black Friday,
low prices and shipping wars
nor is it regarding  . . .
keeping out of certain stores.

It isn’t about the greeting,
one uses to say hello
nor is it in relation to . . .
what wishes they bestow.

What Christmas is about,
is really pretty simple
for it isn’t about pricing . . .
a saying or some symbol.

Christmas is about,
God’s Gift of Love and Grace
and its up to everyone to decide
if Jesus,  they will embrace!

Way Maker– Happy New Month

It feels amazing to finally see the last month of the year not because it’s the Christmas month but because it’s been a long wonderful journey.
I’m excited because it’s my month of birth and that of Jesus Christ. Welcome to December!

I thought to myself what will this month signify aside Christmas? This was the answer I got.

This morning I decided to go visit someone who lost her child (sad). I did not know where she resides but I felt obliged to go give my condolence to her. I stopped a bike man, told him how I didn’t know where I was going but I’d ask as we move along, and then go to my work place. He agreed. I prayed silently for direction.
Suddenly I said, pull over here I want to ask that lady if she knows the woman! I greeted and asked her, please do you know Mrs X’s house? She said, it’s this one and she called for her mum! I was dazed, so was the bike man.
There and then I exclaimed, you are the Way Maker! Who can beat that?!
I could not but share this because I know someone needs to be encouraged.

It’s the last month of the year and you’ve probably zeroed your mind that you’ll do better next year in your planning. You now feel you can’t get the direction you need or your request answered?
Believe, God is the Way Maker.
He said, forget the former things . . . I will make a way . . .Isaiah 43: 19.
Have you been walking in desert places? Behold, A way for you!

He’s never late, He is The Way!
The Way Maker will make a way for you before the year runs out.
Just believe.
Happy New Month. . .
Merry Christmas!
