City On A Hill

We are indeed Light(s) and should remain lights everywhere even if we have to stand alone!
Thanks Sharon for sharing this.

My dear friend had come visiting me from Lagos and we went to church together one of those evenings she was around and on returning home at night, as soon as we entered the gate to the quarters where I live, I looked around and began to lament about how we were going to sleep in darkness as I noticed there was no light from any of the houses around.

She was puzzled I said there was no light because she looked right ahead and saw this little provision shop opposite the house with a yellow electric bulb switched on and the seller in the shop even had his little T.V switched on. So herself looked around and noticed only the provision shop opposite the house had electricity that night amidst the other buildings in the quarters and she asked me why.
I showed her a telecommunication company’s mast just…

Onto Jesus ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Onto Jesus ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

All my inequity,
all of my sin
God put it all
all onto Him.

Onto Jesus,
God set my soul
so by His stripes
I’d be made whole.

Every unkind word,
evil thought or look
onto the cross
Jesus obediently took.

The lusts of my mind,
the deceit in my heart
onto Jesus’ own heart
God did impart.

Onto Jesus,
God placed my strife
then for my sins . . .
He gave up His life!

1 Peter 2:24

“Who his own self bare our sins
in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Spiritual Vacation

Spiritual Vacation

Sharon's Blog

I remember as a child asking my mum when we were ever going to get a holiday from church as we always did at school. My mum told me church had no holidays and I couldn’t understand why. I was just a puzzled child who didn’t understand why we had to keep going to church so faithfully week after week and not be rewarded with a vacation. It seemed unfair to me. I wonder how God must have looked down on me with love in his eyes and be like “oh my baby will understand later”.
I felt I needed a vacation from church as a child because I didn’t know the reason we went to church was because of our love walk and relationship with God. Who ever wants a vacation from any one he is in a genuine relationship with? The more you are with any one you…

What Joy Indeed . . .

image

As we look forward to the month of March and to celebrating Easter, let us brace up and rejoice in the finished work of our salvation.
It is indeed sad to know that someone came all the way just to be mocked, ridiculed, injured, spanked, beaten, spat on, and killed for our own sin(s) to be wiped off. But it is mind blowing that He went through all of that.

Oh what Joy I have to be forgiven and redeemed back to my Creator and Friend. It is gladdening for anyone who is in Christ now. You can imagine being away from your best friend for so long because you keep hurting him/her and it can no longer be condoned. But you were suddenly forgiven at no cost.
Hmm . . .
Those who haven’t joined the train can still join, the vacancy is TBC (To be Continued). There is no closing date.
God’s hands are always open to receive anyone who is ready.

Come experience the joy that is in Christ Jesus.
Come experience genuine peace.
Come experience satisfaction.
Rejoice!

Anticipate Reoccurring Pain during Easter.  .  .
Happy New Month in advance!

Saving Light ~

Saving Light ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Lord, I pray those in the dark,
may see Your saving Light
I pray they will come to know
it’s with Satan that they fight.

I pray they will find the Truth,
so they can seek the Way
I pray Your mercy and favor
will cause their hearts to sway.

I pray their eyes be opened,
to the darkness of their deeds
I pray they will come to know
it is the devil who misleads.

I pray their ears will hear,
the Good New that You sent
I pray to Your love and grace
they will give their consent.

Lord, I pray for those under,
Satan’s bondage and control
I pray they will come to know
only You can save their soul!

Acts 26:18

“To open their eyes, and to turn them
from darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan unto God, that they
may receive forgiveness…

Putting on CHRIST ~

These passages came to my mind. . . Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh Galatians 5: 16 . . . By strength shall not man prevail 1 Samuel 2: 9 . . . and Seek ye First the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you Matthew 6: 33.

Putting on Christ ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann ~

I’m putting on Christ,
I’m  wearing the robe of love
wrapping it around me
till it fits like a glove.

I’m going to don an attitude,
of humility and meekness
I’m going to bind myself up
with gentleness and kindness.

I’m putting on Christ,
after righteousness I’ll thirst
I’m going to hunger after
putting God in my life first.

I’m going to turn away,
from  temptation and sin
I’m calling upon the power
He gives to me within.

I’m putting on Christ,
wrapping myself in His grace
for it’s the only way I know
to finish the faithful race!
